Educational and Research Institute of Foreign Philology

The Educational and Research Institute of Foreign Philology of the Ivan Franko State University of Zhytomyr dates back to August 15, 1949, when the Zhytomyr State Teachers' Institute of Foreign Languages with a two-year term of study was opened, which was reorganized into an educational institution with a three-year term of study two months later. The professional training of teachers was carried out at three faculties: English (Dean V. Kostylov), German (Dean K. Bakulin), and French (Dean I. Dragan).
